ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ, ಖಾನಾಪುರ: ಬೈಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರಿನ ನಡುವೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ ಭೀಕರ ರಸ್ತೆ ಅಪಘಾತದಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರೊಬ್ಬರು ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟ ಘಟನೆ ಹಿರೇಬಾಗೇವಾಡಿ ಸಮೀಪ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಸಂಜೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಖಾನಾಪುರ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ಅವರೋಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೊಡಚವಾಡ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿಯ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಬಾರಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿದ್ದ ರಾಜುಗೌಡ ಪಾಟೀಲ ಅವರು ಅಪಘಾತದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟವರು. ಅವರು ಭಾರತೀಯ ಜನತಾ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಸಕ್ರಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವಕರಾಗಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.
ಮಾಹಿತಿಯಂತೆ, ರಾಜುಗೌಡ ಪಾಟೀಲ ಅವರು ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಪತ್ನಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೈಕ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿದ್ದರು. ಸಂಜೆ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗುವಾಗ ಹಿರೇಬಾಗೇವಾಡಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಬೈಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರಿನ ನಡುವೆ ಅಪಘಾತ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ.
ಅಪಘಾತದ ವೇಳೆ ರಾಜುಗೌಡ ಪಾಟೀಲ ಅವರು ಬೈಕ್ನಿಂದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಯ ಬಲಭಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ಎಸೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರು. ಇದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂಬದಿಯಿಂದ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಬಸ್ಸಿನ ಚಕ್ರ ಅವರ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹರಿದ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಅವರು ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ.
ಅಪಘಾತದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಪತ್ನಿಗೆ ಸಣ್ಣಪುಟ್ಟ ಗಾಯಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅವರು ಅಪಾಯದಿಂದ ಪಾರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಹಿರೇಬಾಗೇವಾಡಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಮುಂದಿನ ತನಿಖೆ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Gram Panchayat Member Raju Gowda Patil Killed in Road Accident Near Hire Bagewadi
Belagavi: In a tragic road accident involving a bike and a car, a Gram Panchayat member was killed on the spot near Hire Bagewadi village on Tuesday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Raju Gowda Patil, a resident of Avarolli village in Khanapur taluk. He was a four-time member of the Kodachawad Gram Panchayat and an active member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Khanapur taluk. He was also known locally for his social service.
According to reports, Raju Gowda Patil had gone to Belagavi city on Tuesday morning along with his wife on their motorcycle. While they were returning home in the evening, an accident occurred between their bike and a car near Hire Bagewadi village on the highway.
Due to the impact, Raju Gowda Patil fell on the right side of the highway. At the same moment, a bus passing from behind ran over him, and the rear tyre of the bus crushed his head, leading to his death on the spot.
His wife sustained minor injuries in the accident and is said to be out of danger.
A case has been registered at the Hire Bagewadi Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
