Pragativahini News, Belagavi – Suresh Angadi, Minister for State of Railways, Govt. of India inaugurated Reverse Transcription–Polymerase Chain Reaction ( RT-PCR) testing facility at KLES Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital, Belagavi.
It is one of the most accurate laboratory methods for detecting, tracking, and studying the coronavirus. Speaking on the occasion Minister said, testing facility at KLES Hospital it is a boon to the needy people of Northern Karnataka. Medical professionals, nurses, health care workers and police personnel, unmindful of covid-19 infection threat are striving hard to control the spread of virus. He called citizens to extend cooperation to covid warriors. The Latest generation of RT-PCR is approved by World Health Organization (WHO), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), United State Food & Drug Administrator (US FDA), the state-of-the-art equipment will also be useful in detecting the medical drug resistance tuberculosis testing, H1N1 infections, for tissue matching in organ transplant, Hepatitis B & C viral load.
Dr. Prabhakar Kore, MP, Chairman of the KLE Society assured that all the assistance will be given to the district administration in fight against the COVID-19. KLE Society is always striving to create healthier society. He requested citizens not to venture into unnecessary outings, he stressed social distancing and use of mask are the gold standard in keeping the virus away and advised senior citizens, and children to stay at home and involve in light workouts.
