
Pragativahini News, New Delhi : As its staff busy in attending to the COVID-19 cases and the political parties clarified were not ready for the polls, the Election Commission of India has postponed the Legislative Council scheduled to be conducted in this month.
The commission had to conduct election to two posts of teachers’ and two posts of graduates’ constituencies before this month as the term of four members end on June 30.
The commission said it’s staff in Karnataka are busy in COVID-19 duty who cannot give up the duty and join the election work and more of all the political parties in the states also clarified that were not in a position to face the election. The commission, last month had asked the political parties whether were ready to face the election or not.
