Pragativahini News, Belagavi : Acting on a tipoff, the District Crime Investigation Branch, in association with Yamakanamaradi police arrested two people -one from Maharashtra and other from Tamilnadu- ,at Dadabanhatti village in Hukkeri taluk and recovered small silver bricks weighing 300 kg which they were carrying in a car allegedly to Tamilnadu in a car, on Sunday evening.
Responding positively to the information about the illegal transportation of the consignment the Yamakanamaradi police passed the message to the crime branch at Belagavi and spread the net at Dadabanhatti. As per information, a Duster car heading toward Belagavi was stopped in which silver bricks were found. During search, police also recovered cash of Rs 2 lakh from the position of Vijaykumar Shinde from Selam in Tamilnadu and Riyaz Zakhirhussin Mulani from Satara in Maharashtra. The duo were allegedly carrying the consignment to Tamilnadu from Maharashtra.
The Yamakanamaradi police have registered a case.
