Women Study Center Inaugurated at VTU

Pragativahini News, Belagavi – Women Studies Centre was inaugurated at Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. Smt Sudha Murthy, Padmashree Awardee and Chairperson, Infosys Foundation, India.

Smt. Sudha Murthy was the Chief Guest and Virtually Inaugurated the Women Study Center of VTU and Three Days International Symposium Aspire with V.T.U”-Celebrating Diversity.   Smt. Murthy addressed the gathering on Working Women- a Catalyst for Transforming India Working Women- A Catalyst for Transforming India. She mentioned about the gender equality as well. She shared her life journey to inspire the young women. She mentioned the Women needs courage and confidence which can be developed through education more than economic independence. She threw light on the four pillars that every women should follow for successful life, The First pillar “Never Play a Female Trump Card”, Second Pillar “Try to play always in a group”, third pillar “Learn Something New Everyday”, fourth Pillar is “Don’t Waste time on Others”. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Karisiddappa gave his initial remarks on setting up a Women Studies Centre first time at VTU. Prof A.S.Deshpande, Registrar welcomed the gathering, Prof.Satish Annigeri, Registrar (Evaluation) was also present in the function. Ms.M.A Sapna proposed vote of thanks. Dr. Deepti Shetty, Coordinator of Women Studies Centre, VTU, Belagavi  was the master of ceremony for the entire program.
