Yedyurappa, State BJP president on Monday succeeded to temporarily contain the dissidence by the Katti brothers. Meeting the Katti brothers – Ramesh Katti and Umesh Katti and local BJP leaders at Belagavi Yedyurappa told them that the Lok Sabha candidate from Chikkodi constituency will not be changed at this juncture. He requested the BJP workers and Katti bothers to work together for the victory of the party candidate.
Yedyurappa said that Katti bothers will be given suitable post in the party. Later speaking to the reporters Ramesh Katti said that country comes first and he would work for the party.
It appeared that the issue had been settled before arrival of Yedyurappa in Belagavi and the talks with Katti brothers was a mere formality.
