Pragativahini News, Bengaluru : A 23-year-old person from Kamakshipalya, disappointed for not getting liquor even after standing in queue for long time, attempted to end his life by setting himself afire at his house on Monday night.
The youth residing in a rented house used to consume alcohol and was eager to have after opening of liquor outlets from Monday. He stood in a queue before an outlet to buy the liquor but could not as the stock in the shop was over.
He went back home, put kerosene on him and lit a matchstick to end his life in in the night. Neighbors rushed on his screaming, extinguished the flames and rushed him to the Victoria hospital. He sustained about 50% burns.
