21 Airlifted from Dubai to Mangaluru, Udupi Tested C-19 Infected

Pragativahini Nws, Bengaluru  : Coastal districts Mangaluru and Udupi which followed strict norms to avoid spreading Corona Virus to their districts since beginning have suffered a major jolt with the “Airlifts” as 21 people of the nation who landed to both the districts from various Gulf nations tested positives of the virus.

As all the nations stopped air services,  India decided to get back those Indians who wish to comeback under “Airlifting” scheme. Indians, after completion of administrative procedures  have been instructed to be ready to travel back from the fixed airport and time and date and started airlifting.
The COVID-19 test is being compulsorily done before boarding in to the plane at the airports and also landing back in the nation. All must be quarantined compulsorily after landing to the nation.
Among those arrived back through central government “Airlifting” project on May 13 from Dubai,  21 were tested here again are positive. 16 positives were from Mangaluru and 5 from Udupi,  all settled, migrated for jobs in various countries in Gulf. Throat swab and blood sample of all tested at government RTPCR centre.
All arrived back were quarantined in selected places and infected at the Wenlok hospital at Mangaluru.
Total airlifted to Mangaluru were 168 of which 38 women are pregnant and most from aged are ill.
