The monsoon is all set to enter the Kerala state and the expected to enter the state by today evening. The entire state is covered by the clouds and red alert is sounded in four districts.
The Meteorological department has warned that there will be heavy rain in Trissur on June 10, Ernakulum on June 11. Heavy rain is expected in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Ernakulum and Trissur district in next three days.
More than 350 people had lost their life in Kerala last year during the monsoon. The flooding had washed away the public and private properties worth thousands of crores. In this backdrop precaution is taken this time and red alert is sounded.
