ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ: “ಜಿಬಿಎ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ” ಎಂದು ಡಿಸಿಎಂ ಡಿ.ಕೆ. ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಜಿಬಿಎ ಕಚೇರಿ ಬಳಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಬುಧವಾರ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಜಿಬಿಎ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಯಾವಾಗ ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ ಈ ರೀತಿ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಿದರು.
ಈ ವರ್ಷ ಜಿಬಿಎ ಆದಾಯದ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಏನಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, “ಆದಾಯ ಬರಲಿ ನೋಡೋಣ. ನಾವು ಆದಾಯದ ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಬೆಲೆ ಏರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ತತ್ತರಿಸಿರುವ ಜನರ ಬದುಕು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ‘ಚಿನ್ನ ಖರೀದಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿ, ಇಂಧನ ಬಳಕೆ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ವಿದೇಶ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಬೇಡ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವ ಕಷ್ಟ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಅಪಮಾನ
ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ಸೋರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ನೀಟ್ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ರದ್ದಾಗಿರುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ, “ನೀಟ್ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ಸೋರಿಕೆ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಅಪಮಾನವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಚಿವರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಸದರು ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಇದೇ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ತೀವ್ರ ವಾಗ್ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅನೇಕ ಕನಸು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡು ಕಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಪೋಷಕರು ಆಕ್ರೋಶಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
GBA elections as per Court directions: DCM D K Shivakumar
Bengaluru, May 13: Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar today stated that elections to the five corporations under the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) will be held as per court directions.
He was replying to reporters’ questions at the GBA office on when the elections would at the GBA office.
When asked about revenue expectations from GBA this year, he said: “Let us see when the revenue numbers come in. We are not looking at revenue figures right now. We must protect the lives of people who are reeling under price rise. In these difficult times — when people are being told not to buy gold, reduce fuel consumption and avoid foreign travel — things should get better for the people.”
A Great Insult to the Nation
When asked about the cancellation of the NEET examination due to the question paper leak, he said, “The NEET question paper leak is a great insult to the nation, and the Union Ministers and Members of Parliament must answer. If similar incident had happened in our state, we would have faced severe attacks by now. Students and parents, who had built many dreams and worked hard for the exam, are outraged.”
