Mysuru Woman Ends Life for Demand of Additional Dowry from Husband
Pragativahini News, Mysuru : A 23-year-old woman from Mysuru who married a man from Kalkunike in Hunasuru taluk of the district, by paying cash of Rs 50 lakh, gold ornament weighing 400 grams and borne entire wedding expenditure that was nearing to a crore rupees, ended her life as she could not bring additional dowry demanded by her husband’s family.
Laxmi who was pregnant married to Yogesh from Mysuru, 10 months ago. Her family borne all the expenditure of the wedding done in grand royal-style.
Laxmi’ parents, before wedding, promised Yogesh of giving an open site as dowry for which the latter and his family used to torture Laxmi, allegedly.
Laxmi found hanging at her bedroom st husband’s house on Sunday morning.
