Pragativahini News, Gokak : As the rate of the chicken was decreasing day after day due to Corona Virus, a Poultry Farm at Lolasur in Gokak taluk buried about 6,500 hens on farm campus on Monday night.
The rate per kg was reached below Rs 40, farm owner Nazeer Makandar dug the open land buried the birds. He said there was no takers the birds and was unable to bare the daily expenditure cost of the birds.
He said the farms have to spend at least Rs 40 to feed a hundred grown birds and the maintenance cost was also very high for which he decided to take the extreme step.
