In protest against the on June 10 attack on the doctors in Kolkata, the Indian Medical Association (IA) has called for a nationwide bandh by Medical fraternity on Monday. The private hospitals in Karnataka too remain closed in support of the bandh.
The protest will begin at 6.00 am on June 17, and will continue till 6.00 am next day. All OPD services will remain closed IMA said. Meanwhile the state health department has issued a circular and directed the doctors to ensure that there is no disruption of the medical services in the government hospitals. And all leave of the medical staff will remain suspended on Monday and they are directed to join the duty.
