*ಸ್ಮಾರ್ಟ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಹ್ಯಾಕಥಾನ್ (ಎಸ್ಐಎಚ್) 2025 ಗ್ರ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಫಿನಾಲೆ: ನೊಡಲ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್ ಆಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದ ವಿಟಿಯು*
ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ: ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯ ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರಯ್ಯ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ (ವಿಟಿಯು) ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ಸ್ಮಾರ್ಟ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಹ್ಯಾಕಥಾನ್ (ಎಸ್ಐಎಚ್) 2025 ಗ್ರ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಫಿನಾಲೆಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ನೊಡಲ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್ ಆಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
ಈ ಮಹತ್ವದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಇನ್ನೋವೇಶನ್ ಉತ್ಸವವು ಇದೇ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 8 ಮತ್ತು 9 ರಂದು ನಡೆಯಲಿದೆ. ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಎರಡನೇ ವರ್ಷ ವಿಟಿಯುಗೆ ಈ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಭಾರತದ ವಿವಿಧ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಂದ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದ 20 ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ತಂಡಗಳು ವಿಟಯು ನೊಡಲ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸತತ 36 ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ಕಾಲ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಆಧಾರಿತ, ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿ ಪರಿಹಾರಗಳನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಲಿವೆ.
ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಚಿವಾಲಯದ ಇನೋವೇಶನ್ ಸೆಲ್ (ಎಂಐಸಿ) ಮತ್ತು ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತೀಯ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮಂಡಳಿ (ಎಐಸಿಟಿಇ) ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಆದ್ಯತೆಯ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ತಂಡ ಪರಿಹಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಲಿವೆ.

- ಆತ್ಮನಿರ್ಭರ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸ್ವದೇಶಿ ಎಐ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯ ಮೂಲ ಗುರುತಿಸುವಿಕೆ: ದೆಹಲಿ-ಎನ್ಸಿಆರ್ ನ ಹವಮಾನ ಮತ್ತು ನೀತಿಯ ಡ್ಯಾಶ್ಬೋರ್ಡ್
- ಆತ್ಮನಿರ್ಭರ ಭಾರತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸ್ವದೇಶಿ ಸಾರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಲಾಜಿಸ್ಟಿಕ್ಸ್

ಈ ಸವಾಲುಗಳು ಪರಿಸರ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ, ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯ, ಶಾಶ್ವತ ಸಂಚಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವದೇಶಿ ನವೀನತೆಯಂತಹ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಅಗತ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಪರಿಹಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಲಿವೆ.
ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ವಿಶ್ವೇಶ್ವರಯ್ಯ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ (ವಿಟಿಯು) ಕುಲಪತಿ ಡಾ.ಎಸ್.ವಿದ್ಯಾಶಂಕರ್,
“ಸ್ಮಾರ್ಟ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಹ್ಯಾಕಥಾನ್ ಗ್ರ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಫಿನಾಲೆಗಾಗಿ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಎರಡನೇ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ವಿಟಿಯು ನೊಡಲ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್ ಆಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ವಿಷಯ. ಇದು ನಮ್ಮ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ನವೀನ್ಯತೆ, ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಮತ್ತು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಬಲವಾದ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗುರತನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ವಿಟಿಯು ಸದಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹ್ಯಾಕಥಾನ್ಗಳು, ಸ್ಟಾರ್ಟ್ಅಪ್ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಪರಿಹಾರ ವೇದಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸಿದೆ. ನಾವು ಆತ್ಮನಿರ್ಭರ ಭಾರತದ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡುವ ನವೀನತಾ ಪರಿಸರವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ಬದ್ಧರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ.” ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ವಿಟಿಯು ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಗ್ರ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಫಿನಾಲೆ, ಸಚಿವಾಲಯದಿಂದ ಆಯ್ಕೆಗೊಂಡ ವಿಷಯ ತಜ್ಞರು ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪಕರಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ತಜ್ಞರು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸಿ, ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಸಹಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಸೃಜನಶೀಲತೆಯ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವಶ್ಯಕ ಇರುವ ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿ ಟಿ ಯು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ
ಭಾರತದ ಅತಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಭಾವಶೀಲ ಇನ್ನೋವೇಶನ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾದ ಸ್ಮಾರ್ಟ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಹ್ಯಾಕಥಾನ್, ಯುವ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾವಂತ ಮನಸ್ಸುಗಳನ್ನು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಯ ಸವಾಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಪರಿಹಾರಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
VTU Belagavi to Host Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 Grand Finale as Nodal Center on 8th & 9th December.
Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, has once again been selected as a prestigious Nodal Center for the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 Grand Finale, scheduled to be held on 8th and 9th December 2025. This marks the second consecutive year that VTU has been entrusted with hosting responsibilities for the national innovation flagship event.
A total of 20 top-performing student teams from institutions across India will participate at the VTU Nodal Center, working intensively for 36 hours to design and develop technology-driven, impactful solutions to real-world challenges.
The Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) have assigned VTU a set of highly significant problem statements under national priority themes, including:
Swadeshi for Atmanirbhar Bharat – Blockchain & Cybersecurity
Swedeshi for Aatmanirbhar ಭಾರತ್ AI-Driven Pollution Source Identification, Forecasting & Policy Dashboard for Delhi-NCR
Swadeshi for Atmanirbhar Bharat – Transportation & Logistics
Swadeshi for Atmanirbhar Bharat – Clean & Green Technology
These challenges address key national needs in areas such as environmental protection, secure digital infrastructure, sustainable mobility, and indigenous innovation.
Speaking on VTU’s continued selection as a Nodal Center, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of VTU stated:

The Grand Finale at VTU Belagavi will bring together ministry evaluators, industry professionals, mentors, coordinators, and student innovators, fostering a dynamic atmosphere of collaboration and creativity.
