Farmers to protest on July 10

The farmer organisations will hold a huge protest on July 10 in protest against the exploitation’s of the farmers in the APMCs. The government should introduce a transparent system in the APMCs said Siddagouda, state president of Bharateeya Krishika Samaj (United).

Addressing the media here on Saturday Siddagouda said that various farmer’s organisations will take out the protest under the leadership of Shivaji Kaganikar, a social activist around 10.30 am on July 10. The procession begins at Chennamma Circle and ends at APMC yard. Later a dharna (sit-in) will be held there Siddagouda said.

He demanded that the while slip system should be stopped. The unregistered traders should be kept out of APMC.  Genuine receipts should be issued by the traders. The price should be fixed in front of the farmers he said.

Leaders of various organisations were present.
