Pragativahini News, Hubballi :The local court at Hubballi on Monday rejected the bail application submitted by 3 Kashmiri engineering students studying at Engineering college at Hubballi. The students who have been lodged at Hindalaga jail at Belagavi for shouting pro-Pakistan slogans were detained under anti-national act, last month.
Students – Ameer, Taleeb and Badit had recorded their pro-Pakistan slogans in their cellphones and circulation to their like minded friends and social media groups.
The Vth Additional Sessions Court Judge KN Gangadhar rejected the bail application after hear the pleads of the accused and the Public Prosecutor. However, the students can apply for the bail at High Court.
A ten-member Bengaluru based group of advocates headed by Maitreyi Krishnan pleading on behalf of the accused after no pleaders from Hubballi-Dharwad refused to plead on their behalf. The Bengaluru advocates had faced opposition from the local advocates for taking on the case.
