“I ‘ll be Dist In-charge Minister During Next General Election Year”, Minister Jarkiholi
Pragativahini News, Belagavi : Putting an end to the debate for not giving him additional responsibility of any district, including his home district Belagavi, minister Ramesh Jarkiholi clarified that the chief minister wanted to give him any district including Belagavi, however, he refused the proposal as he has to effectively maintain the Irrigation department.
He said there are many interstate litigation between the state and neighbouring states, he could not get time to leant complete concentration on the cases, of which a few are very important. He opined that if has got the district in-charge he could not give justice to both the district and irrigation department.
I RECOMMENDED SHETTAR
He said after he rejected the offer, himself recommended Jagadeesh Shettar for the in-charge of the district. CM don’t wanted other person from outside district to be the in-charge, but agreed after I recommended to continue him. “We both are one, and work together and take decision only after each others consent”, he said.
I WILL DIST IN-CHARGE DURING ELECTION YEAR
He said Belagavi is the biggest district and handling things here are difficult. He said he has some political aims for which he would be the in-charge minister of the district and want to face the next general election under his leadership.
He snatched down Athani and Kagwad constituencies from BJP when he was the district in-charge in the Congress government and won the same constituencies back to BJP after joining BJP.
