By- election will be held for the vacant seats in local bodies in Belagavi district. A notification in this regard has been issued by R. Vishal, deputy Commissioner in this regard.
Elections will be held for ward number 19 of Sadalaga Town municipality in Chikkodi taluk and ward 12 of Mugalkhod town Municipality in Raibag taluk.
Last date for the filing of nominations papers is May 16. Last date for the withdrawal of nomination papers is May 20. Polling will be held on May 29. If necessary re-poll will be held on May 30. Counting of the votes will be held on May 31, from 8 am in respective taluk headquarters. The election process should be completed before May 30, DC directed.
