The Election Commission of India has informed the Supreme court that it would not allow the release of biopic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi till the completion of the Lok Sabha election in the country.
The biopic has eulogised Modi and has shown the opposition parties in the bad light. The opposition parties have been portrayed as corrupt. If the movie is allowed to release then it would be a biased action, said ECI
The Supreme Court had directed the election commission to view the movie and submit its opinion before April 22. A ream of 7 officials had vowed the biopic and now the Supre Court has been informed that the biopic will not be released till the completion of the elections.
