S.G. Belaekudri Institute of Technology in association with Veshveshwaraya Technological University, Belagavi has organized one day workshop on Intellectual Property Right (IPR), Today.
The program was inaugurated by Prof. Avd. Ganesh Hingmire, chairman and founder, Great Mission Group Consultancy, Pune. In his inaugural remark he maintained we are all using on or the other product from morning till night which is patented by one or other foreign organization. We Indians are very much fall behind the property than intellectual property even though we are number one in the world in intelligence quotient. The intellectual property can be transferred from one place to other place easily compare to immovable property. If we are not registering over innovations and inventions under intellectual rights then the fate or turmeric, Basamati rice and Cocum Juice repeat again and again. So the awareness about intellectual property right is very much required for every Indian.
The chief guest of the program Dr. H.B. Rajshekhar, Director, KLE-USM in his address he record over ancestors had a mind-set that the knowledge in far dissiminent and not for preservation with that concept they have not patented any invention but this advantage by taken by multinational companies and filled patent against this knowledge and earning hug money. The people believe earlier that only immobile assets will earn money but now even intelligence can be turned into money by registering under patent registration.
Another guest Dr. F.V. Manavi, former secretory, KLE society in his speech the patenting concept has entered Indian market from 1970 but still registered patents are very less compare to western countries. A lot of money is indirectly flowing out of the country through this Intellectual Property Right (IPR). So, it is each once responsibility to register over ideas and innovations through patent registration.
S.G. Sambargimath, chairman, governing council of the college presided the program, Principal Dr. Siddrammppa V. Itti welcomed the gathering, Prof. Manasa Veena and Prof. Ashwini Kakade hosted the program. Swamy invocated the program the program coordinator Dr. K.B. Jadgeshgouda delivered the vote of thanks.
