Belagavi city police have launched a driver against the tempering of the number plates of the vehicles and 386 cases have been lodged against the persons who have used defective and fake number plates.
The driver was carried out for the three days and auto-rickshaws owners and the riders motor bikes with defective and fake number plates were booked. Total Rs. 38600 has been collected from these vehicle owners under the Motor Vehicle Act.
