Department of Civil Engineering and S.G. Balekundri Institute of Technology, along with Institute of Engineers (INDIA), Local Center, Belagavi has organized a three days’ Workshop on Recent Trends in Highway Design and Construction.
Workshop concluded on 5th of May 2019 with panel discussion followed by feedback from participants, certificate distribution and Field visit to the newly planned and under-constructed smart city road at KPTCL road and white topping of Congress road.
Where the smart city engineers explained the students about the process of construction and features of these roads, like foot path, cycling path, underground cables etc.
Panel discussion was conducted by Dr. A.U. Ravi Shankar, Prof. B.M. Sunil and Prof. Raviraj M. Mulangi, NITK, Suratkal, Karnataka, Dr. S.V. Itti and Dr. B.R. Patagundi.
