Thanks giving run -Promotion of Belagavi Half Marathon

The run was flagged off by Commissioner of Police Lokeshkumar and  Asif Khoja at 8 am which started and ended at ReGenTa resort, Kinaye. 300 runners participated and successfully completed the run.

The purpose of Thanksgiving run was to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of various government and non government organizations involved in flood relief work.

During the Valedictory function, Lokeshkumar recognized the contribution of various NGO groups such as Rotary clubs, Green Saviours, IMA Belagavi, JITO, Venugram cycling club, Lakeview Foundation who had selflessly contributed to the flood relief efforts.

He also told the gathering that Rehabilitation work is much more demanding than the rescue and relief efforts and requested various organizations to continue the support to government in this humongous task.

The run was preceded by warm up Zumba session conducted by Karan & Rasika. Rtn Vinay Balikai welcomed the gathering.  Sangamesh Padnad, DM of Canara bank, Rtn Rajesh Talegaon & Dr Shashikant Kulgod spoke on the occasion on the importance of fitness as well as pledged to contribute towards helping flood affected schools.

 Yashodha Vantagodi, DCP for Crime, Dr Shashidhar Nadgouda from City corporation were present. Rtn DB Patil proposed the vote of thanks.
