Vaccine Depot, almost 250 acres of lush green forest in the middle of Belagavi city, a well-known place for most of the people who come for a walk every morning and evening, a place well known for bird photographers and candid photography.
Every year people come and plant trees in monsoon and many forget it.
As we are watching the world over the forest is going on decreasing everywhere so in the Vaccine depot too, but a group of 10 retired people aged more than 65 have not lost hope. Vijay Jamble, V G Chougule, R B Patil, M N A Bhat, Bandu Paramshetty, Uday Shidore, Yallappa Parlekar, Prabhakar Kodkini, A K Kulkarni and Acharya Gangur watering the saplings daily.
They have tied empty water bottles to almost 200 plants and water the plant every day from almost 1 month as summer is set in.
A request to common public to lead a hand to the group of these UNSUNG HEROES.
