There was rumour that the state government will be in trouble after the Lok Sabah elections, there were swift political developments in the state soon after the completion of the second phase of the election.
The war of words between Ramesh Jarakiholi and his brother Satish Jarakiholi created curiosity among the political observers. The accusation of brothers too added fuel to the fie in the politically volatile situation in the state.
Ramesh Jarakiholi who left for Bengaluru stating that he would submit the resignation appears to have backtracked as o now. It is said that no MLA is ready to join him to submit the resignation. Though alliance partners have heaved a sigh of relief there is suspicion that Ramesh and his supporters will be back at game after the Lok Sabha results.
Reliable sources said that MLAs Mahesh Kumatalli, Nagendra and Shrimant Patil who are the close aide of Ramesh are not ready to submit their resignation now. They have adopted the wait and watch policy till the results of Lok Sabha elections are out. After that the state may witness ‘I Operation Lotus’ or reverse operation by the alliance partners.
At present Ramesh is on the back foot. The political drama in the stare has reached to the climax. If he succeeds in toppling the government he may become hero else it would be a politically end game for Ramesh, according to the political analysts who are watching
