ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ: ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ‘ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಇಂಧನ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ 2025’ಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಪಾತ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ.
ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಇಂಧನ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣಾ ದಿನದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಬ್ಯೂರೋ ಆಫ್ ಎನರ್ಜಿ ಎಫಿಷಿಯೆನ್ಸಿ ದೆಹಲಿಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 14ರಂದು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿ ದ್ರೌಪದಿ ಮುರ್ಮು ಅವರಿಂದ ಕ್ರೆಡಲ್ನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಟಿ.ಡಿ. ರಾಜೇಗೌಡ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರೆಡಲ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಕೆ.ಪಿ. ರುದ್ರಪ್ಪಯ್ಯ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರು.
ಇಂಧನ ದಕ್ಷತೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಷಮತೆ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯ ಎಸ್ಡಿಎ ವಿಭಾಗ-1ರ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಸ್ಥಾನಗಳಿಸಿರುವ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ 2025ರ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಇಂಧನ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ತನ್ನದಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಎರಡನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿದೆ.
ವಿವಿಧ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಧನ ದಕ್ಷತೆಗೆ ಜಾರಿಗೊಳಿಸಿರುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಆಯಾ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರಗಳ ವಿವಿಧ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳಿಂದ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಈ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಂಧನ ದಕ್ಷತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ದೊರೆತಿದೆ.

ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಇಂಧನ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಸಂದಿರುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಂತಸ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿರುವ ಇಂಧನ ಸಚಿವ ಕೆ.ಜೆ. ಜಾರ್ಜ್, “ಈ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯ ಹಿಂದೆ ಕ್ರೆಡಲ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಗಳ ಶ್ರಮವಿದೆ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವು ಇಂಧನ ದಕ್ಷತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆದಿರುವುದು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ವಿಷಯ. ರಾಜ್ಯ ಇಂಧನ ದಕ್ಷತೆ ಸೂಚ್ಯಂಕದಲ್ಲಿ (SEEI) ಸತತ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಅಂದರೆ, 2020-2021, 2022, ಮತ್ತು 2023ರಲ್ಲಿ “ಫ್ರಂಟ್ ರನ್ನರ್” ಸ್ಥಾನ ಗಳಿಸಿತ್ತು. 2024 ರಲ್ಲಿ, ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಎರಡನೇ ಬಹುಮಾನ ದೊರೆಕಿತ್ತು. ಇಂಧನ ದಕ್ಷತೆ ಸಾಧಿಸುವ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯಿಂದ ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಗಳಿಸಿರುವುದು ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ವಿಷಯ,” ಎಂದರು.
Karnataka wins the National Energy Conservation Awards 2025
Bengaluru, December 15, 2025: Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) has won the National Energy Conservation Awards 2025 under State Energy Efficiency Performance Award (SDA Group-1) category. Karnataka has once again emerged as a front-runner, securing the top position with a lead over Maharashtra, which stands in second place.
The award ceremony, organized by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) under the Union Ministry of Power, was held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, on December 14 as part of National Energy Conservation Day celebrations. The day is observed to create awareness on the importance of energy conservation and highlight nations achievements in energy efficiency.
Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Hon’ble President of India, presented the award to Mr. T.D. Raje Gowda, MLA & Chairman, KREDL and Mr. K.P. Rudrappaiah, Managing Director of KREDL, recognizing Karnataka’s outstanding contributions to energy conservation and efficiency.
The award presented to KREDL acknowledges the energy efficiency projects implemented through different sectors across the state.
Minister for Energy, Mr. K.J. George, congratulated KREDL on this significant achievement, emphasizing the critical role of energy conservation in combating climate change and global warming. He said, “It is a matter of pride as Karnataka has consistently ranked among the top-performing states in energy efficiency, earning the “Front Runner” designation for three consecutive years—2020, 2021& 2022, and 2023—in the State Energy Efficiency Index (SEEI). During 2024, the state was awarded with the second prize and with committed dedication it has once again geared back to the first position!”
Mr. George reiterated Karnataka’s steadfast commitment to energy conservation and green energy initiatives, focusing on raising awareness and improving energy efficiency across sectors.
Mr. Gaurav Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) , Government of Karnataka, expressed his delight and remarked, “States are the driving force behind the successful implementation of India’s energy efficiency policies. Karnataka has consistently set benchmarks in aligning sustainable development goals through innovative and impactful energy-efficient practices. We have undertaken several targeted initiatives to meet our energy efficiency targets effectively, and I’m pleased to see Karnataka’s leadership being recognized at the national level”.
