*ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ 6ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನ: ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯ ಡಾ.ವಿಶಾಖ ಹೆಗಡೆ ಸಾಧನೆ*
ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ, ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ: ಮಂಡ್ಯ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಡಾ.ವಿಶಾಖ ಹೆಗಡೆ ಅವರು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪದವಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 6ನೇ ರ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಪಡೆದು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ರಾಜೀವ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವು ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 2025ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪದವಿ (ಚರ್ಮ, ಲೈಂಗಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಕುಷ್ಠರೋಗ ವಿಭಾಗ) ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಡಾ. ವಿಶಾಖ ಹೆಗಡೆ ಅವರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ 6ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆದು ಕೀರ್ತಿ ಗಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮಂಡ್ಯ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಗ್ರಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆದು ಮೊದಲ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಗಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಡಾ.ವಿಶಾಖ ಅವರು ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯ ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಪದವಿ (ಎಂ.ಬಿ.ಬಿ.ಎಸ್) ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ಡಾ. ವಿಶಾಖ ಹೆಗಡೆ ಅವರು ಪ್ರತಿಭಾನ್ವಿತ ಭರತನಾಟ್ಯ ಕಲಾವಿದೆಯೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಭರತನಾಟ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ರಂಗಪ್ರವೇಶ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ವತ್ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಪೂರೈಸಿದ್ದು, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಬಾಲಶ್ರೀ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಕಲಾಶ್ರೀ, ಕಲಾ ಪ್ರತಿಭೋತ್ಸವ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಭಾರತ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಮಾನವ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಸಚಿವಾಲಯದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ನೀಡಲಾಗುವ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ಮತ್ತು ತರಬೇತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿವೇತನ ಹಾಗೂ ಯುವ ಕಲಾವಿದರಿಗೆ ನೀಡುವ ವಿಶೇಷ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿವೇತನ ಪಡೆದು ಭರತನಾಟ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತ ತರಬೇತಿ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಅವರು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ದೂರದರ್ಶನ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಶ್ರೇಣಿಯುಕ್ತ ಕಲಾವಿದೆಯಾಗಿ ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಡಾ. ವಿಶಾಖ ಹೆಗಡೆ ಅವರು ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯ ಜವಾಹರಲಾಲ್ ನೆಹರು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೆ.ಎಲ್.ಇ. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಡಾ. ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ ಕೋರೆ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಮತ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿರಿಯ ನಿವಾಸಿ ವೈದ್ಯರಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಡಾ. ವಿಶಾಖ ಅವರು ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿರುವ ಡಾ. ಜಿ.ಎಸ್. ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ನಿರುಪಮ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಅವರ ಪುತ್ರಿ.
Belagavi’s Dr. Vishakha Hegde Secures 6th Rank in MD Examination
Belagavi: Dr. Vishakha Hegde, a postgraduate student of Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS), Mandya, has achieved a notable academic distinction by securing the 6th rank in the MD examination.
In the Postgraduate Medical Degree Examination (MD – Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy) conducted in September 2025 by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru, Dr. Vishakha Hegde secured the 6th rank at the University/State level. She has also emerged as the topper among all postgraduate specialities (MD/MS) at Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences.
Earlier, Dr. Vishakha completed her MBBS from Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences, Belagavi.
Apart from her achievements in the medical field, Dr. Vishakha Hegde is also a talented Bharatanatyam dancer. She has completed her Rangapravesha and Vidwat examinations in Bharatanatyam and is the recipient of several prestigious honours including the National Balashree Award, Karnataka State Kalashree Award, and Kalapratibhotsava Award.
She has also received the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) Scholarship and the Young Artist Fellowship Scholarship from the Government of India’s Ministry of Human Resource Development for advanced training in Bharatanatyam.
Dr. Vishakha has also been recognized as a graded artist of Doordarshan Kendra, Bengaluru.
Presently, Dr. Vishakha Hegde is serving as a Senior Resident at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and KLES Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital and Medical Research Centre in Belagavi.
Dr. Vishakha is the daughter of Dr. G. S. Manjunath and Mrs. Nirupama Manjunath, residents of Belagavi.
