ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ: ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ: KLS ಗೋಗಟೆ ಇನ್ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್ ಆಫ್ ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಜಿ (KLS GIT)ಯ ಎಂಬಿಎ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಅಂತಿಮ ವರ್ಷದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಟ್ ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸದಿಂದ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಇಡಲು ಸಜ್ಜುಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ “ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಟ್ ಜರ್ನಿ ಮತ್ತು ವೃತ್ತಿ ಯೋಜನೆ” ಕುರಿತ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೊಮ್ಯಾಟೊ, ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕೀ ಅಕೌಂಟ್ಸ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜರ್ ಕಾರ್ತಿಕ್ ಗಾವಲಿ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಎಂಬಿಎ ಪದವಿ ವೃತ್ತಿಜೀವನದ ಆರಂಭವಷ್ಟೇ. ಯಶಸ್ವಿ ವೃತ್ತಿಜೀವನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಜ್ಞಾನ, ಸಂವಹನ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ, ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿಕೆ, ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿತನ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಪರಿಹರಿಸುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಉದ್ಯೋಗದಾತರು ಈ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಂಭಿಕ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಉದ್ದೇಶಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ರೂಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಅಗತ್ಯದ ಕುರಿತು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ರೂಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದರಿಂದ ಸೂಕ್ತ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲು, ಬದಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹಾಗೂ ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿ ರೆಸ್ಯೂಮ್ ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸುವಿಕೆ, ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ಲಿಂಕ್ಡ್ಇನ್ ಪ್ರೊಫೈಲ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ, ಕಾರ್ಯತಂತ್ರದ ನೆಟ್ವರ್ಕಿಂಗ್, ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಸಮಗ್ರ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆ ನಡೆಸುವಿಕೆ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಅರ್ಜಿ, ನೆಟ್ವರ್ಕಿಂಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಅಳೆಯಬಹುದಾದ ಅಲ್ಪಾವಧಿಯ ಗುರಿಗಳನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು KLS GIT ಎಂಬಿಎ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ಲೇಸ್ಮೆಂಟ್ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಡಾ. ಅಮೀತ್ ಚಾಟೆ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಎಂಬಿಎ ನಂತರದ ವೃತ್ತಿಜೀವನದ ವಾಸ್ತವಿಕತೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸುವುದು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ KLS GIT ಎಂಬಿಎ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಡಾ. ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಜಮನಾನಿ, ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ದೊರೆತ ನಂತರ ಮಾತ್ರ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ, ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಕ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಅರಿತುಕೊಂಡು, ಸೂಕ್ತ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನ್ವೇಷಿಸಬೇಕು. ಅಗತ್ಯ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ವೃತ್ತಿಜೀವನದ ಗುರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಲು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾದ ಮಾರ್ಗಸೂಚಿಯನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
MBA@GIT Equips Students for the Professional World
Belagavi: The Department of MBA, KLS Gogte Institute of Technology (KLS GIT), Belagavi, organized a workshop on “Corporate Journey & Career Planning” for final-year MBA students, aimed at helping them make a confident and successful transition from the classroom to the corporate world.
The session was conducted by Mr. Kartik Gavali, Key Accounts Manager, Zomato, Mangaluru, who provided students with practical insights into the expectations of the corporate sector and the competencies required to build a successful career.
Addressing the students, Mr. Gavali emphasized that an MBA qualification is only the beginning of a professional journey. He encouraged students to continuously strengthen their business acumen, communication skills, adaptability, sense of ownership and problem-solving abilities, which are among the key competencies sought by employers.
A significant focus of the workshop was on early and purposeful career planning. Mr. Gavali highlighted that students who begin planning their careers early are better positioned to make informed choices, respond to changing industry expectations and avoid making career decisions solely on the basis of immediate job opportunities.
The workshop also offered practical guidance on preparing targeted resumes, building a professional LinkedIn profile, strategic networking, researching prospective organizations and preparing effectively for interviews. Students were encouraged to set measurable short-term goals related to networking, job applications and skill development.
The programme was organized by Dr. Ameet Chate, Faculty and Placement Coordinator, Department of MBA, KLS GIT, with the objective of providing students with a practical understanding of the professional environment they are likely to encounter after completing their MBA.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Jyoti Jamnani, Head, Department of MBA, KLS GIT, emphasized that career planning should not begin only after receiving a job offer. She highlighted the importance of understanding one’s strengths, interests and values at an early stage, exploring suitable industries and roles, developing relevant skills and creating a clear roadmap towards one’s professional aspirations.
The workshop provided students with valuable perspectives on career preparedness and the importance of taking a proactive approach to professional growth.
