T. Sairam Prasad elected FKCCI President for 2026–27; B.P. Shashidhar, N. Sathish take key leadership roles

Pragativahini News, Bengaluru: The Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) has elected its new office-bearers for the year 2026–27, with T. Sairam Prasad as President, B.P. Shashidhar as Senior Vice-President and N. Sathish as Vice-President.

The new leadership team brings together extensive experience from the trading, industrial and business sectors, along with years of active involvement in FKCCI and other industry associations.

T. Sairam Prasad elected President

T. Sairam Prasad, who has been elected President of FKCCI for 2026–27, has more than three decades of experience in the trading sector at the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC).

He has continued his family business, C.V. Thimmaiah & Co., which has been operating in the market since 1962. His long association with the trading community has given him a close understanding of the challenges and requirements of traders, industries and the services sector.

Sairam Prasad has previously served as Vice-President of FKCCI during 2024–25 and subsequently as Senior Vice-President.

He has also served as a Director of the APMC Committee and as Secretary of the Bangalore Grain Merchants Association. During his tenure in various responsibilities, he was involved in initiatives aimed at improving market infrastructure, including street lighting, concrete flooring, sewage systems and water supply.

His leadership role at the Bangalore Grain Merchants Cooperative Bank has also given him experience in understanding and addressing the financial requirements of the trading community.

With extensive grassroots experience in the trading sector and long-standing involvement in industry associations, Sairam Prasad will now lead FKCCI for the 2026–27 term.

B.P. Shashidhar elected Senior Vice-President

B.P. Shashidhar has been elected Senior Vice-President of FKCCI for 2026–27.

A B.E. graduate from R.V. College of Engineering, Bengaluru, Shashidhar is an entrepreneur with experience in manufacturing and industry-related activities.

He has been actively associated with FKCCI for the past decade and has served as Chairman of several important committees, including the Industry Committee, Labour Committee, Business Excellence Awards Committee, and Export & Export Excellence Awards Committee.

He also served as Chairman of the FKCCI Industry Committee during 2022–23.

Shashidhar is a former President of the Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA), Bengaluru, and has been closely associated with the concerns and requirements of small-scale industries.

He is the proprietor of M/s Karthik Industries, a manufacturer of machining components.

His combination of engineering knowledge, manufacturing experience and long-standing involvement in industry organisations will form an important part of the new FKCCI leadership team.

N. Sathish elected Vice-President

N. Sathish has been elected Vice-President of FKCCI for the year 2026–27.

As part of the new leadership team, he will work alongside the President and Senior Vice-President in carrying forward FKCCI’s programmes and initiatives during the coming year.

New leadership for Karnataka’s business community

The new FKCCI leadership brings together long-standing experience in trading, manufacturing, industry associations and institutional activities.

With T. Sairam Prasad at the helm, supported by B.P. Shashidhar as Senior Vice-President and N. Sathish as Vice-President, FKCCI will continue its role as a key platform representing Karnataka’s business and industrial community.

The new office-bearers are expected to focus on issues concerning trade, industry, MSMEs, exports, infrastructure, finance and the overall business environment in Karnataka, while strengthening engagement between the business community and relevant stakeholders.
