The Thursday morning Health Bulletin stated that the Belagavi woman was one among the 22 suspected tested positives. The woman visited world’s largest slum area with more than 10 lakh population Dharavi was quarantined at her home at Sadashiv nagar instead at lodges or other quarantining places. Her swab report issued on Thursday certified her as positive.
With violation of COVID-19 norms itself by district administration people from Sadashiv nagar have to be suffered with possible locked down of the vicinity.
The woman pregnant for five months has been shifted to COVID-19 ward at district hospital and her family members would be quarantined.
Apart from Belagavi, the virus has positives from Davanagere, Mandy, Bengaluru, Gadag, Bagalkot and Bidar districts taking the toll to 974 in the state and 122 in the district.
