People Took Home Sugar Bags from Fallen Truck Returned Hiding their Identity
Pragativahini News, Belagavi : A logistic truck carrying sugar bags from Maharashtra overturned on the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway in Belagavi taluk on Wednesday night. Nearby villagers rushed and took 190 of total 300 bags from the fallen truck.
The incident had occurred in the ghat section between Shivapur and Sutagatti villages. Kakati police under whose limits the area of the accident occurred had instructed people, indirectly targeting the nearby villagers, to return the bags if taken, to avoid the house checking.
On Thursday morning the police were surprised seeing stolen sugar bags at Durgadevi temple between Shivapur and Sutagatti villages.
The logistic service provider vehicle is one of the trust worthy logistic companies in the nation from north Karnataka was transporting 300 bags of sugar from Olam Sugars in Maharashtra to deliver in one of the southern states of the nation.
“Many stolen sugar bags were yet to be recovered, we will search each and every house in the nearby villages in recovering the stolen sugar”, said Kakati police.
