Congress leader and former CM Siddaramaih would visit Gokak town on April 19 and campaign for the Congress candidate V S Sadhunavar. He would address the public at 8 pm in the ground of New English School, according to district in charge minister Satish Jarakiholi.
Congress MLAs Mahantesh Koujalagi, Lakshmi Hebbalkar, and Congress leader Lakhan Jarakiholi would participate in the public meet.
Interestingly name of Ramesh Jarakiholi has been dropped from the press release issued by the minister. Although Ramesh had stayed away from the party activity for last several months his name had been included in the Congress party’s press releases in the past. But now Congress appears to have lost all hopes about him. Yesterday Satish Jarkaiholi had stated that it had come to the notice of the party that Ramesh has indulged in the anti-party activities and supporting BJP candidate in some places. A complaint has been lodged with the party high command in this regard he had added.
This development has clearly indicated that there will be big political shift in the state after Lok Sabha elections.
