Belagavi DC, SP Stands Model for Humanity, Shows How the Top Brass Should Be
Pragativahini News, Belagavi : Belagavi DC SB Bommanhalli and SP Laxman Nimbaragi have became a remarkable examples to society mainly to other top ranked bureaucrats by their “Good Samaritan” nature as they helped the 2 helpless grieving families to reach their destinations.
Alike thousands from northern part of the nation, Setansingh Kamalsingh Sisodia from Rajasthan lost his temporary job due to lockdown and blocked here on his way to his place. He and others were housed at the hostel of Murarji Desai school at Neharu nagar.
Last week he got a telephonic call from his native informing his father was no more and his last rites would not be done until he goes there. The local Rajasthan Association, after counter checking the matter, contacted DC Bommanhalli and briefed him the matter and appealed allow him to go.
The officer arranged a vehicle, issued him a permission letter and sent him to his place at Bishal taluk in Baramer district which is around 1,500 km from Belagavi. After conducting the last rites of his father on last Sunday, Setansingh posted the pictures of the last rites to the Rajasthan Association members as well to DC.
In another story, SP Laxman Nimbaragi sent a woman who cremated her physically handicapped dead son, with her daughter to their native at Chikkodi taluk, in a hired car on Tuesday.
A woman, from Kothalli village in Chikkodi taluk, with her daughter had brought her physically handicapped 32-year-old son Sagar Singhe and admitted at the district hospital.
During treatment her son died on Tuesday morning. As she got no money to take the dead body to her place, one of the doctors had advised her to complete the last rites here instead taking the body to her place and shifted the body to the crematorium at Sadashiv nagar in the hospital hearse van.
Adding with the driver, there were only three in the graveyard. After taking down the body from the vehicle, the mother and her daughter picked up the partially burnt woods, sticks from other burnt bodies as they not had money to buy kerosene and firewood to cremate the body.
Hearse van driver informed the matter to one of the Kannada news channel reporter who instead making a human interest story helped the helpless mother, daughter to complete the last rites. As the woman had no money to go back home, he gave the money he had and informed SP Nimbaragi. Shocking and unexpected to him, the police officer immediately reached to the graveyard, consoled to the death of her son, gave some money and sent the woman and her daughter in a car to their place.
With the two above human interest stories, both the top brass of the district have made Belgamites to be proud of them and showed humanity counts much more than the position.
