The CL-2 licence belonging to the Liquor shop owned by Sumitra Rajendra Shiralkar kept under suspension between April 23 – 28 under the section 29(1) B of Karnataka Excise Act 1965 for having excess stock of the liquor. The order is issued by R. Vishal, deputy commissioner of Belagavi.
The excise inspector, district excise squad and staff of Assistant commissioner of Excise had visited the shop on around 3 pm on March 28. During the inspection around 73 litres of liquor was found in excess.
Under 1967 CL-2 licence condition and under other section of Excise act a case has been registered and licence has been cancelled, according to the Assistant Commissioner.
