KLS Gogte College of Commerce Women Empowerment Cell and Ladies Association celebrated International Women’s Day at K K Venugopal Auditorium.
Dr. H.H.Veerapur, Principal Gogte College of Commerce Welcomed the gathering. Prof. Asmita Deshpande, co-ordinator “Women Empowerment Cell and Ladies Association”introduced the guests, Pooja Netalkar and Tejasa Kalghatagi.
Pooja Netalkar, COO Netalkar Industries encouraged the girls to become a Self-Dependent and take up an Entrepreneurship.
Tejasa, the First Woman biker from Belagavi to ride solo 3000 KM to Udaipur Rajasthan gave a photographic presentation of her journey.
Prof Sarita Patil, presided over the function. Prof Neha Jamnani, proposed a vote of Thanks. As a part of the Women’s Day celebration Appetina- a food fest was also organized . The proceedings from the food fest will be donated to Women’s NGO ASHRAYA FOUNDATION. Around 400 students and lady staff members attended the function.
