Gokarna police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 against three persons for allegedly videographing the picture of a minor girl. Mother of the girl has lodged complaint with the police in this regard.
The complainant’s family which hailed from Bengaluru had stayed in a resort near main beach in Gokarna on April 20. The minor girl and her friend had bath in the bath room of the resort. It is alleged that some miscreants had allegedly video-graphed the pictures of the minor girls in their mobile from above the wall of the bath room. Mother of the victim has expressed doubt about the involvement of three youths named Niranjan, Pandit Subhash and Krishnan, all are the residents of Bengaluru. The suspected youths were staying in a room next to the room of the complainant in the resort, it is said
Police have registered the case under section 354(C) of IPC and section 12 of POCSO act. As the complaint was registered almost five days after the incident the suspects had vacated their room by then. The investigation is on.
