Karwar: Officials of the Election Commission on Monday searched the helicopter of Nirmala Seetharaman at Karwar. Nirmala had arrived at Karwar on a chartered helicopter around 1.30 pm from Shivamogga.
The helipad was built at Bandishitta area. As soon as she arrived at Karwar and got down from the helicopter the election officers with help of police searched the entire helicopter and found nothing in it. Nirmala had not objected to search by the officials it is said.
Search was carried out after there were complaint that the defense minister was transporting the money in her helicopter it is said.
