At present, throughout the world, engineering as a degree is increasingly in a high demand. In a developing country like India, a common dream among many parents is that their sons and daughters would study science and take up engineering course which will land them with lucrative job opportunities and accrue socialistic and economic benefits and a settled future. This dream motivates large number of science students to take up engineering studies, in this regard to help engineering aspirants and their parents, as a part of social practices, our institute is organizing this social awareness programme. Definitely this will answer all the queries related to the selection of branch/College and CET/COMEDK seat selection process, said U.N.Kalkundrikar Chairman, Governing Council, KLSGIT, Belagavi.
He was addressing the audience on the occasion of “Engineering Courses Awareness Programme organized by Applied Science Department, KLS GIT on 26th May 2019 at College Auditorium. He also told that GIT owing to its vibrant atmosphere, GIT gives an excellent shelter to students. KLS, GIT strives to create holistic personalities out of students by offering them ample of opportunities to emerge as future leaders. GIT has a talented pool of staff members comprising of PhD with decades of experience.
Dr. A.S. Deshpande, Principal, GIT explained about different types of branches available in the engineering course, how to select the branch and how to select the college. Also he thoroughly conveyed the scope of each branch and listed out the possible career avenues.
Later Dr. M. S. Patil, Dean, Academics explained about the seat selection process of CET/Comed K. Prof. Supriya Kulkarni was the host for the function. Program Coorditaors Dr. M.K.Rendale, Dr. S. V. Divekar and Dr. P. R. Hampiholi and More than 500 Engineering Aspirants from Kolhapur, Nippani Vijayapura, Hubballi and Belagavi were attended.
