ICU in containers

 Pragativahini News, Bengaluru –  Mobile modular container ICUs will be put to use in the fight against the pandemic Covid 19.
Deputy Chief Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwath Narayan on Saturday inspected the ICUs created in containers by Rinac India Limited which is known for setting up sanitised operation theatres and clean rooms in hospitals.
Dr. Narayan appreciated the company for coming out with an unique idea and said that these ICUs can be easily moved anywhere.
On a pilot basis, the deputy CM who is also in charge of setting up Covid Care Centres, said that 10 modular container ICUs will be deployed at the KC General Hospital in Malleshwaram.
Each of the containers will have five beds.
Dr. Narayan said that these mobile ICUs donated by Rinac will be useful, particularly in times of crisis like Covid 19 or any natural calamities.
Facilities:
Entry of health officials will be through an air lock and patients through a different door. There will be two doors for patients and can get increased if need. ICUs are fitted with camera to monitor online from a centralized monitoring station, thereby limiting the exposure of the health personal.
