Kannada writers creates nuisance in Delhi Police raided Karnataka Bhavan

A team of Delhi police on Thursday raided Karnataka Bhavan-1 on Wednesday night after they received a complaint against Kannada writers and activists for partying and creating nuisance till late in the night.
Members of delegations of Kannada Developmental Authority (KDA), who were staying, was partying till late in the night in a room at first floor of Karnataka Bhavan. On the same floor, the Supreme Court Judge Justice Dinesh Maheshwari, who was also Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court, staying. When he got disturbed with loud noise and the partying crowd, he sent his personal security officer to ask the partying people to talk in low voice.
However, when the partying is continued without any hindering, the Judge came down to reception and called the police.
Immediately nearly dozen police men rushed to Karnataka Bhavan and closed the main gate and prevent any body from going out side. They also entered the room, where the partying is going on and warned them to book a case. Some of the guests vanished from scene. After getting the news, Resident Commissioner Nilay Mitash also rushed from home.
Now the question is despite the consumption of liquor was strictly banned in Karnataka Bhavan, how the Kannada writers were allowed to partying.
Interestingly, the accommodation was also given to some writers who is staying in Delhi violating rules. As per the norms, rooms should be allotted only to outstation guests.
There were also complaints that some of the outsiders were also at the party which is not allowed due to security reasons.
It is not the first time Kannada writers delegation creating a scene in Delhi. Whenever they come to Delhi, partying and creating the issue and embarrassing others were common.
Karnataka Government sought an explanation from Resident Commissioner Nilay Mitesh.
