Athani town in Belagavi district wore deserted look on Monday. Various organisations have called for a Bandh in protest against the public representatives who have faild to impress Maharastra Government to release the water to Krishna river.
Commuters have to face the heat as the government buses did not ply. Private vehicles stayed away from the road.
The entire town was completely shut down.
Total 36 different organisations have supported the bandh call and the protest was continuing in different parts of the town when last report came in.
