Pragativahini News, Belagavi – Dr. Vinaya Dastikoppa has been appointed as the Medical Director of Government Medical College- BIMS.
He has been appointed for the next 4 years. S.T.Kalasad was the Medical Director till now, the service was extended for 2 years even after his term expired.
Vinaya Dastikoppa is an MBBS and MD educated at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum and trained in Retina Surgery at Aims, New Delhi. He currently serves as the head of the department of ophthalmology.
There are many complaints about the chaos of Belgaum District Hospital. The Chief Minister’s Political Secretary Shankaragowda Patil and MLA Anil Benake have visited several times and advise to improvement. Now have to wait how the new medical directors take action.
