ಪ್ರಗತಿವಾಹಿನಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ: ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ಜುಲೈ 1 ರಿಂದ ಆರಂಭಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಗೃಹ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಯ ಪ್ರವರ್ಗ ಕುರಿತು ಕೇಳಿರುವ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಬೆಸ್ಕಾಂ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದೆ.
ಬೆಸ್ಕಾಂನ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಮೀಟರ್ ರೀಡರ್ ಗಳು ಸೇವಾ ಸಿಂಧು ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ಅಪ್ಲಿಕೇಷನ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಮುದ್ರಿತ ಘೋಷನಾ ಪತ್ರದ ಮೂಲಕ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಗೃಹ ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳ ಮನೆಗೆ ತೆರಳಿ ಕಲೆ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಯ ಪ್ರವರ್ಗದ (ಜಾತಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಪತ್ರ) ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಕೇವಲ ಐಚ್ಛಿಕವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಬೆಸ್ಕಾಂ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆ.
ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳ ಜಾತಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಪತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಲತಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಬೆಸ್ಕಾಂ ಈ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟನೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ.
ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಜಾತಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಲು ಇಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ಅಪ್ಲಿಕೇಷನ್ ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ʼಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಲು ನಿರಾಕರಣೆʼ ಎಂಬ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಮೂದಿಸಲು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.
Gruha Jyoti Scheme: Category Information is Optional, BESCOM
BENGALURU: Following quarries raised on media and social media platforms regarding the collection of beneficiary category (caste) details, the BESCOM has clarified that providing this information is entirely optional and not mandatory.
BESCOM staff and meter readers are currently visiting residential households to collect beneficiary data for the Gruha Jyoti scheme, which commenced across the state on July 1st. This information is being gathered via the Seva Sindhu mobile application and printed declaration forms.
BESCOM has clarified that entering the beneficiary’s category (caste certificate details) is purely optional. If a beneficiary does not wish to share their caste details, field staff have already been instructed to select the ‘Refused to provide information’ option available in the mobile application.
