Professionals Forum, Belagavi had organised a health awareness, checkup and treatment camp on Sunday at Bantara Bhavan, Gandhinagar, Urban PHC, Vantmuri colony and Marathi Boys School Kurubar Galli, Angol.
About 1500 patients were checked for General Medicine, Surgery, Eye, Pediatric, Bones, Dental and other problems and distributed free medicines.
The Camp was conducted jointly in association with District Health Department, City Corporation of Belagavi, Institute of Medical Sciences, Slum development board, KLE Centenary Hospital, Yellur, Lakeview Hospital, Vijaya Ortho Care Hospital, Indian Medical Association, Belagavi, Dental Association, Belagavi, United Social Welfare Association who provided specialist doctors, manpower, equipment’s etc.
All the slum dwellers and economically weaker section in Gandhinagar area, Vantmuri Colony and Kurbur Galli of Angol took the benefit of the camp. Health checkup was done by specialist doctors from KLE Centenary Hospital, Lake View Hospital, Vijaya Orthocare Hospital, Dental Association etc and also required nurses and other staff provide by these hospitals. City corporation had made all arrangements for cleanliness of the Center and provided drinking water facilities. Dr. Anil Patil of Lake view hospital provided refreshments to the team.
Free Medicines distributed by BIMS. Blood checking kits provided by DHO. Members of United Social Welfare Association actively participated in organizing the camp.
Dr. Dasatikop of BIMS, Dr. Soudagar of PHC Belagavi, Dr. Dhanwant of PHC Vantmuri, Dr. Dhumgol, DHO, Dr. Nadgouda, City Corporation, Dr. Mahantshetty of KLE, Dr. Netra Sabnis of Dental association, Lamani, Ex. Engineer, Slum Development Board, Dr. Dharwad, Mr. Babu and Mr. Kundargi of United Social Welfare Association and Dr. H.B. Rajshekhar, Dr. Tukkar, Dr. Putti from Professionals forum took efforts in success of the camp.
President of Professionals forum B.S. Patil, Secretary CA Rajendra Mundada, Arvind Sangolli, Anand Havannavar, Umesh Bolmal, Panchakshari Hiremath, Dr. Poornima Pattanshetty, Anand Jakati were present for organizing the camp.
