Executive committee members of Professionals forum, Belagavi met Dr. Prabhakar Kore, MP (Rajyasabha) and congratulated him for successfully arranging a historical event of International conference on Nursing Sciences at Belagavi.
Members of the Professionals forum expressed their great happiness on Dr. Prabhakar Kore’s request to D.K. Shivkumar, minister for Medical Education and Major Irrigation for showing keen interest in establishing the Nursing University in Belagavi. Forum congratulated and thanked Dr. Prabhakar Kore for offering land to establish university, arranging faculties and extending all the support from K.L.E. Society in establishing the University. There are around 276 nursing colleges in Karnataka and needs and university, therefore, the matter needs to be further pursued to get the Nursing University at Belagavi.
President of the Professionals forum B.S. Patil, further, urged Dr. Prabhakar Kore for taking very early action, for the starting work of 4-lane approach road from Belagavi to Sambra Air port which is now part of National Highway project. Dr. Prabhakar Kore assured that, he would meet Nitin Garkari in this connection and request him to take up the work immediately.
