KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi excelled yet again with Campus Placements both in numbers and quality of offers. With over 650 campus placement offers GIT placed around 85% students from the 2019 passing out batch of Engineering, MCA and MBA.
Governing council Chairman U.N.Kalkundrikar, Principal Anand Deshpande, Placement Officer Satish Hukkeri informed in a Press conference today.
75 top notch companies visited the campus for recruiting talent from GIT. Some of the prominent companies on campus were TCS, Texas Instruments, IBM, PWC, Principal Global Services, Mercedes Benz, Tata Motors, Bosch, General Electric, Brillio, AllGo Systems, Pelatro, Berger Paints, KPIT, CoreEL, Tata Elxsi , Tata Technologies, Wipro, Kirloskar Ferrous, Subex, Pelatro, Decathlon, Axis Bank, ICICI, Berger Paints, Continental, Mindtree, Infosys to name a few.
The highest salary offered on campus was 12.60 lacs per annum by Texas Instruments. The average salary offered was at 4.20 lpa. TCS recruited the highest number of 185 from GIT this year across all colleges in Karnataka.
Companies like IBM, PWC, TCS Digital, Principal Global and Mercedes Benz have also offered Internships to students of 6th semester and 8th semester. This makes the students more industry ready and effective on job. GIT is one of the few colleges in Karnataka to have engaged with such prestigious companies for Internships and Campus recruitment. The autonomous status of GIT makes it very convenient for such big companies to align with the curriculum and student engagements like Internships for 6 months which are an integral part of the syllabus. Institute prepares the students for the placements with extensive training on aptitude and technical abilities right from 2nd year of Engineering.
Top in the North Karnataka
With 11 ranks and one Gold Medal GIT stands first in the North Karnataka and fourth in the State of Karnataka at 18th VTU Annual Convocation. Also KLS GIT conferred with various awards in the year 2018-19, to name a few, one amongst Top T-Schools in India by Competition Success Review for excellence in academics and industry interface, featured in “Great Indian Institutes -2018” by Forbes India Marquee – a prestigious magazine & ranked at 26th best engineering college among private engineering colleges pan India as per the India Today Rankings.

Recently KLS Gogte Institute of Technology (GIT) signed a historic MoU with Japanese Institute under a prestigious program of Govt. of Japan. This International Association is a new step to bridge the gap between Industry & Academics. Also KLSGIT has academic collaborations with Stanford University, USA, Strathclyde Univeristy, UK and New Paltz, USA. KLSGIT respects the Merit
The Management has decided to extend the admissions at concessional fees to the student achievers at the state/national level in sports/NCC/NSS and also for the wards of Indian army soldiers on the merit basis. In addition, GIT has fees waiver scheme for KCET toppers.
