VTU to Change Traditional Convocation Dress code

Pragativahini News, Belagavi :  Asia’s biggest Technological University, Belagavi based Visvesvaraya University, first in the nation, has proposed to change the tradition of convocation by changing the dress being wore at the annual convocation.

With an intention to give ‘Desi Touch’ and to encourage the handloom business, the university had made women white saree or white salvar khameej, same color dhupatta and white pant and full sleeves shirt compulsory for men. There would be no wearing of block cap.
