After Major Accidents on NHs in K’taka, Hydrabad Central Govt Instructs to Closedown Highways

Pragativahini News, New Delhi : After the nation witnessed two major road accidents even during lockdown term, the central government disappointed on all the states for not strictly following the lockdown norms, has instructed all the states to closedown the National Highways in their respective states.
The Road Transport ministry in its instruction also instructed to house lodge to all who drive or seen traveling in vehicles on highways for 14 days if violated the prohibitory order.
It may be recalled that 3 women were killed and 3 others injured, all from Belagavi and were the agricultural labourers, when a speeding jeep ran over on them on Pune-Bengaluru national highway on Saturday afternoon and in another major mishap on national highway at Hyderabad 8 people from Belagavi district killed and 15 other from Belagavi,  Raichur and Vijayapur were injured when the tempo they were traveling in was hit by a lorry on Sunday morning. The central government,  following these accidents has instructed the states to ban vehicle movement on highways till the end of lockdown.
