Pragativahini News, Bengaluru – The Corona pandemic has created an unprecedented crisis in terms of containment of the spread of the disease and providing for the needs of the poor and needy who are afflicted.
The Government of India and the governments at the state level are engaged in providing for the healthcare needs, the much-needed assistance for the farmers, migrant workers and the poor and needy. Implementation of the lockdown and making provisions to ensure provision of essentials, also warrant a sizable expenditure.
The KLE Society has contributed a sum of Rs 2 crore to the Chief Minister’s Covid Relief Fund. It was handed over to Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa at Bengaluru on 6th May 2020 by Rajya Sabha Member and Chairman KLE Society, Dr Prabhakar Kore.
Contributions from Dr Prabhakar Kore Credit Souhard Cooperative Ltd ( Rs 11 Lakhs), Chidanand Basaprabhu Kore Cooperative Sugar Factory ( Rs 5 lakhs), Ms Shivashakti Sugars Ltd, Soudatti (Rs 5 Lakhs), Rani Chenamma Mahila Sahakari Bank Niyamit (Rs 5 Lakh) and Shri Shri Shri 1008 Shrishail Jagadguru Dr Chennasiddharama Panditaradhya Shivacharya Swamiji, Kadasiddeshwar Sansthanmath, Shri Kshetra, Yeduru (Rs 5 lakhs), were also handed over to the Chief Minister.
Laxman Savadi, Deputy Chief Minister, Karnataka, Jagadish Shettar, District Incharge Minister of Belagavi & Hubballi-Dharwad, Ramesh Jarkiholi, Minister of Water Resources, MLC Mahantesh Kavatagimath, Chief Whip, BJP Karnataka Legislative Council, Shankargouda Patil, CM Politicle Secretary, Girish Hosur, CM office secretary were present.
