Pragativahini News, Belagavi : Acting swiftly, the Baiilhongal police have taken a person from Savadatti taluk in connection with attack on Hosur swamiji.
Based on the information provided by Gangadharswami of Guru Madiwaleshwarmutt of Hosur in Bailhongal taluk, the police have taken Mallikarnun Budashetti from Muragod in Savadatti taluk into their custody on Wednesday.
Mallikarjun has a criminal history as he involved in a few house burglary and was put in jail in connection with a murder and was out on bail.
Injured swamiji who is undergoing treatment at the district hospital told news persons that during midnight on Wednesday he got up from the sleep after herd a noise and saw a person entering into the mutt and he was attacked when shouted. The attacker used a iron made weapon that used to cut the sugarcane in the field. The attacker fled away after seeing neighbors coming toward the mutt.
The swamiji is out of danger.
